Beyond Dancehall: Christina’s journey

My niece Christina is a choreographer and dancer with exciting experiences in the world of dance. Her love for dance started at the age of four. She always danced when she heard music on the radio! It’s a passion we two share. I was a passionate salsa dancer for over 15 years. Today, I focus on supporting the younger generation of dancers and artists.

Now a regular introduction

Based in Vienna, Christina Teufl gained international experience in places such as L.A., New York, Kingston, Paris and London. Her career so far includes cooperations with the following artists: Beenie Man, Yaksta or Cham.

In Europe she worked with artists such as PixL, TwanTee or Rekall. Dancehall is a musical genre and dance style born in Jamaica. This style has its roots in reggae, but it has a more dynamic, faster rhythm. The basic movements of dancehall can be combined with the artist’s own creativity.

Apart from music video performances, Christina excited audiences with live performances on stages during well-established events such as Kultursommer, Afrika Tage Wien or Hill Vibes Reggae Festival. Collaborations go beyond stages and sets – she worked with the national radio stations like Radio Orange and FM4.
Beyond performing, she channels her expertise into crafting innovative concepts for video productions, live shows, and artist collaborations, creating unforgettable visuals.

She continues to build a community in Vienna, while also teaching various workshops abroad. Admiring music and various dance styles involves appreciating the connection between rhythm and emotion. Christina is aware of her position of growing up in a central European environment. Her aim is to honour the creators of the movements and connect her students to the pioneers who shaped her own way.

Christina is a creator who transforms movements into unique choreographies, helping dancers unlock their inner potential while captivating audiences with her storytelling and movement quality.
